mastodon 4.8.0-alpha.3+chuckyaHey there!
I'm studying IT and like 3D-printing. Also I like to tinker with electronics in general and tinker even more broadly.
I'm interested in anything technical, but also enjoy photography and drawing.
Find some fun web things I made: https://wolkenheim.eu/fun-web-stuff/.
Dangerously unfunny.
Ellie implies I am in terrorist organisations.
I will mostly post stuff about my Home Lab and other techy stuff. Sometimes also posting photos I've taken.
Not a fan of LLMs/AI, think yourself. More info in my blog post:

Not fully up to date, but gives you a feeling why I don't like "AI".
Posting in English and German
Follow requests are subject to a vibe check. If you don't have content on your profile and no own content, I might reject your request.
People wanting to follow this idiot, be warned:
I am also lost, so following me will not bring you anything but someone to talk to.

Posts of mine will be deleted 1 month after posting, except those which I pin to my profile or that get 5+ starts/boosts.
Not everything must be permanent on the interwebs.
If you think I posted something, and it is gone, feel free to ask me about it, it is likely it is somewhere in my brain or private git forge. If not, well you're out of luck ![]()
If you want to ruin your phones battery life connect a USB C Audio interface to it which can get power over USB C ![]()
Have tried @kde@floss.social 's Konqueror browser for the first time today due to having installed Debian 13 stable with Plasma for testing purposes (new hardware that didn't run on Forky/Sid). Must say it really fits in much better than FF and is quite usable too! But will have to look into the privacy settings tomorrow, maybe I'll give it a shot as my daily for a month when the options are good.
Okay, why is it so hard to get this working???
(Working on getting Blackmagicdesign DeckLink Mini Recorder HD working on my machine*)
*It officially only supports Debian 13 and some others and I thought Debian Forky should be fine right? Well idk if that is the issue, will have to check tomorrow; but at least I got to a point where the card is recognised, I can just not access its input stream for some reason. The kernel modules for it are installed, have even tried older versions.
Why did I ever setup Secure Boot on my machine ... Such a nightmare when working with custom kernel modules ![]()
