I finally got off my ass and made the appointment yesterday to size up my septum piercing from 14 gauge to 12 gauge. I was concerned about the pain involved, but it didn't hurt at all. The piercing is only mildly sore today as it adjusts. In 6 months I'm going to move up from a 12 gauge to a 10 gauge. I don't know why I waited so long to do this. Now, what do I do with the 14 gauge jewelry I can't wear anymore?
I am seriously impressed with Spain's possession of the ball during the first half. It sure looks like they are running rings around Argentina. Still, it has been tough to score for both.

As usual, we've all been told that no one will lose their job, and that we are all terribly critical to the success of the acquisition. However, I've been through this several times, and every single time, without fail, I'm out of a job within one year. They don't get rid of the base associates or there would be no one to do the work. The executives always take care of each other. They gut the middle management, that's me. Cue the diva singing, "Maybe this time ...". I'm honestly exhausted. 2/2
You might say I've been having a rough time. I've been desperately sick with a sinus infection since Thursday. I've never had a recovery move this slowly before. I can't predict when I'm going to be all right again. On top of this, we all got dragged into a mandatory digital meeting on Monday to hear the announcement that the company I work for has been sold. The deal isn't done, because there are miles of regulatory approval to navigate, but by the end of Q3 the sale will be final. 1/2
Well, this is going to be an interesting day. On one hand, I started meds yesterday for the sinus infection that I've been struggling with for the last three weeks. Consequently, my head feels a bit like cotton candy. At the same time, my ozempic treatment is over because the hateful insurance company hired by my moronic employer has refused to cover the prescription refill that my Doctor ordered. I'll be going off this medication all at once after six weeks. I wonder what that will feel like.
As if things could not get any worse, one of the best employees on my team at work has put in his notice. Honestly, I don't have words for how I feel right now.

It was surreal. The Association would enact rules, demand that we enforce these rules, and then shout at us, telling us that we were the equivalent of a jack-booted gestapo squad, because we enforced the silly rules. The people who live in these places are nuts.

He views it as a personal challenge in the sense that he is determined to make my beard look perfect despite this manic hair whorl under my chin. It's annoying but also hysterically funny.

@jeffowski The only reason that I am able to attempt any form of physical exercise today is due to one single PE teacher who actually made me feel like even when I tried and failed, I was still succeeding. She made me feel like my body was my friend and not my enemy. All of the other PE teachers just made me feel horrible about myself. Thank you, Miss Travers!
