I am a small irish devil who makes poor art with my stubby hopeless fingers. I also like RPGs that don't exist.

So.. there is this gargoyle abandoned in 1971 and it remembers what the universe was like before the great time war and.. anyway because it's been stone the whole time nothing has affected its memories... @vortiwife@retro.pizza

@HauntedOwlbear@eldritch.cafe What's odd to me is that people seem to have forgotten you can alter pictures really very quickly to make them cartoonish, or to fit the concept. I mean take St Jerome there. Pair of googly eyes and he just looks like he's stunned by something because he's read the manual for Inkscape. that takes six, maybe eight seconds. Whereas diffusion art.. they're just going click gen again and again till they go "ack, that'll do"

@strangequark@dice.camp The number of places salivating about dynamic pricing is really quite scary. So many supermarkets are thrilled with the idea of it. Every time I'm in ASDA recently they are pushing "why don't you use your phone to shop" while making noises like a mantis clicking.

The Village of Brill. From a map by G Spencer Hoffman. I think this is a lovely mapping style, which while popular in the 1920s, somehow looks like it would fit almost any fantasy RPG nearly perfectly as a GM map or player facing one. It's just a lovely style.

@Faintdreams@dice.camp I think tools are a reward loop of creativity. You can in seeing them in your hand visualise almost an entire lifepath of novelty and invention. It's the same seductive allure that is "interesting paperstock" and "unique ink" It just siren calls. With possibility. Then after half an hour your hand aches and someone wants you to take the bins out, and the illusions shatter.

One of the problems I have with typography is in a really epic unicode typeface the number of alternatives and ligatures etc is so immense you end up holding down the alternate option and looking at the options for ages. @TarkabarkaHolgy@ohai.social There are so many little different greek island myths as well, that are completely different from the ones we know, because the homeric achaen monomyth just smothers everything. The bit you see that in is lots of character in Hades were heroes of smaller myth cycles. Which always reminded me of the Christian assimilation of "oh your pagan deity is in hell"
