I know that boomers and Gen X aren't individually responsible, and often, have quite a bit of insight on a number of matters, but, on the other hand, are ignorant of the current hardships of younger generations, because they aren't living them. One thing is for sure, division between generations keeps us from looking up at the people really ruining our lives. The 1%.

@Mimesatwork I want every block to have 2 genderless bathrooms, each of which have the capacity to close to enter cleaning mode, in which whatever happened in there is etch-a-sketched. I know that homeless folk will occasionally have an angry outburst, or...I don't what compels this, but think painting with shit. We cannot pay a human cleaning person enough to deal with that. So this is where automation should actually happen. Bathroom autoclaves itself. Also they have bidets. Civilization!

While the old adage about not letting the perfect be the enemy of the good holds some weight, I think it itself, is often used as a cudgel to silence any critique, and requiring of leftists that they simply MUST vote for the most milquetoast, fascist-enabling dipshit that has ever walked the earth(In this case, assuming that Gavin Newsom has already won the Primary that has not yet occured).

But there is a huge difference from say, an AIPAC-funded crowd-sourced opinion spouter, and someone with convictions for good things who, is not perfect. And none of them are. But I think it says a lot for someone to be able to become more educated on the power dynamics of an issue they are not familiar with. And a lot of lefty politicians do just that.

And yeah, they can disrupt and upset thing you might be trying to grow specifically, but...ultimately, they're just fast growers, or difficult to remove plants. Did you know the Europeans initially brought Dandelions to the Americas on purpose, for medicinal uses?

"You're worth every drop of effort, you preposterous, self-hating fool, hecking enjoy yourself, and think about how many people want you to succeed, dummy!" Like, imagine a bully that just loves you to pieces, and thinks the only stupid parts about you, are the bits that are caught in self-loathing.

@springdiesel@spore.social I would argue that certain circumstances, like having a degree of resources where consequences are no longer a thing for you, that it is deletarious to your mental health, and capacity for empathy. But no, it doesn't make you not a human. It might make you act like not a human, though. Maybe we should intervene for their mental health, distribute those hoarded resources, and help them regain some of their "acting like a human". Also, maybe take away their cocaine and/or ketamine.
