Why are emission agreements scaled back? Why invest on more AI initiatives that will create more resource wasting data centres? Children will die in the deadly climate crisis most of the EP members have allowed to happen. If they happen to grow up, they can clean up the mess while facing environmental challenges we never had to deal with. It’s all about money grabbing and dominating the ordinary people who are powerless against business conglomerates and billionaires. Fuck them all.

Ik zat toen met ongeloof naar die persconferenties te luisteren. En nu achteraf ben ik vooral kwaad. Hier geven onze leiders geen moer om onze gezondheid. De economie (oftewel onze bijdrage aan de disproportioneel rijke aandeelhouders) was en blijft hier absoluut de eerste prioriteit. De rest was allemaal voor de show. Wat een bananenrepubliek.

Die worden allemaal met fluwelen handschoenen aangepakt en krijgen eigenlijk geld toe. Dit moet ophouden.

Het is om ons te gijzelen door aan te spreken op emoties en "onze" portemonnee (wat totale onzin is, want onze portemonnee kan hen een reet roesten - maar het wèrkt voor de meeste mensen/T-lezers die niet verder willen nadenken). Als de Rotterdamse haven niet mag uitbreiden... Als Shell belasting moet betalen... Als Hoogovens/Tata Steel minder mag uitstoten... Als de boeren hun stikstofuitstoot moeten minderen... Het gaat in de werkelijkheid om de grootaandeelhouders. Laat de media, de pers, en vooral de redacteuren, daar eens op focussen!
