Listen, you let your freak flag fly high. I love that for you. But I have to submit an itemized expense report.
I just read someone refer to ADHD as “A Diva Has Distractions” and I now submit this definition for clinical consideration.
It’s 18:46 and 23℃ in Seattle. My husband and I are am enjoying a Manhattan cocktail in the outdoor lounge of the Marriott Waterfront in Seattle. We just watched the cutest bunny happily hop down the sidewalk and into dense tree lawn hedges. A jam band near the US Cincinnati combat ship celebrating something about ’merica echos down the street. Seagulls caw in the distance.

My mother didn’t live to turn 64 today, but the best combo birthday and Mother’s Day gift she could have gotten would have been seeing the amazing mother my sister is to my nephews.
As a teen, I wore a WWJD? (What would Jesus do?) bracelet on my wrist.
As an adult, I wear a WWEWFF? (Who would Elizabeth Warren fight for?) bracelet on my heart.

History will show that Éire, España, Ísland, Netherland, and Slovenija stood on the right side of history. I’ll join them by watching something else Saturday night.
Today I woke up from laughing in a dream about President Trump confusing the book of Deuteronomy in the Bible with “Due to Ron Jeremy”.
I subscribed to PCMag as a kid using birthday money. John C Dvorak’s column was the first page I read in every issue.
In my Apple “Switch” commercial, I said, “I used to bash Macs, but that was more a move out of ignorance.” That ignorance was me parroting John C Dvorak’s quips.
I stopped reading his cynical column in 2001. Mac OS X was not only a better OS, the Apple community had commentators like Jack Miller (“As The Apple Turns”) who wrote with optimism and wit.
I use JSON-CQ format, JSON with Curly Quotes.
Excited to participate in the 7th @fediforum@mastodon.social, which started at the top of the hour!
Every 6 months, the people building, operating, using, and cheering on a better open social web get together online to demo, discuss, and dream.

Lady Grey tea is like if Earl Grey took a proper shower instead of dousing himself in Axe Body Spray after gym class.
I ordered food after tonight’s concert. I went to meet the delivery guy outside the hotel lobby.
As I stepped onto the sidewalk, a bicyclist slammed into me. We both went flying. I got the wind knocked out of me and several bruises. The cyclist helped me up and then rode off. I was dazed, took the food from the driver who seemed just as shocked as a witness, and limped back to my room.
Took me several minutes to realize what had happened. The meter in front of the hotel isn’t a bike lane. WTF
Same in Sverige.
More on Zambia canceling RightsCon… because it suddenly questioned its commitment to human rights

Your weekend feel good movie is “Remarkably Bright Creatures” on Netflix.
It’s basically “My Octopus Teacher” with Sally Fields.

`mise` is a dev environment management tool that Just Works™ when switching between projects and programming languages. I appreciate not needing to remember JavaScript/Python/Ruby-specific dev environment manager commands.
Its creator and lead developer announced he’s going full-time on open source, so I am supporting his work with an annual donation.

My husband and I are going to Lyon, France this weekend to see Electro Symphony, a full orchestra that performs electronic dance music!
What else should I do or experience in Lyon?

The Zoom AI I want: turning links in text presented in a screenshare into a clickable link
The Zoom AI it offers: badly taken notes of meetings with a notification that starts every meeting that cannot be disabled
We need @Mastodon@mastodon.social to support a multiple choice quiz type of poll. Meanwhile, check your EU law knowledge…
🙄 @lobsters@mastodon.social removed my submission of Killed by Apple as being off-topic even though I checked beforehand and it permitted Killed by Google 6 years ago. Both are interesting computer history.

Anyone have a good experience with these?
I submitted an entry to the 2026 Fight for Kindness typographic poster exhibition for the observance of World Kindness Day on November 13.
The theme of “kindness towards oneself” was perfect for a quote from my friend Karin that has lived rent-free in my head for over a year.

I think this actually is a great use case for local ML AI. There is no reason to use motherEarthFucking cloud AI for this.
