This whole thing about the position being transmitted to vehicles to avoid pedestrians kind of implies that pedestrians would be required to wear some sort of device that broadcasts their location in real time. @zzt@mas.to

Cars also have externalities. Initially there was massive public sentiment against them because people were being killed by cars, especially children. That's why the whole campaign to invent "jaywalking" was initiated. You also have to take into account that most people walked; horses were something relatively few people had. Cars would be a lot less bad if relatively few people used them. @lackthereof@beige.party@Colman@mastodon.ie @gbargoud@masto.nyc @Hex@kolektiva.social

Doctor at Kaiser did ask. I asked what happened if I refused, and they actually weren't able to tell me. So I assume they are recording everything regardless of what I say. @emilymbender

I suppose if you are foolish enough to allow agents in your production environment, this is what you get. @gregeganSF@mathstodon.xyz

I'd say NOT being exposed to anything other than heterosexuality is child abuse. It sure seems to make a lot of kids suffer. @afewbugs@social.coop

I didn't notice any visible recording devices in the office. At the time I assumed this meant the recording capability was just software running on their existing medical computers, which would mean there was no simple way to see if it was recording you or not. @Kierkegaanks @starluna @WhiteCatTamer @emilymbender

I have one of those old-fashioned coil water heaters that you just plug in and stick into your container (in my case an insulated steel container similar to the one you have there in the picture). It's cheap, tiny, extremely portable, and works quite well; but it's rather dangerous, since it gets very hot and there isn't even a switch to turn it off, you have to unplug it. It does have the added advantage of not making your hot water taste like plastic. Of course it does necessitate a different procedure too. You can't put it into food, so you have to heat the water first and then add your dried food to the container. @scott@carfree.city
