Single Bi man, father of two numpties, was into development, but now an IT manager for my local Ambulance service (somehow).
Enjoy crochet, gaming, motorbikes, tech and TV (big Trekkie fan, JLP is my captain), "rediscovering" jazz using it as an excuse to get into vinyl, Dungeons & Dragons, books, Bullet Journal.
Basically, your typical geek.

I think a good come back on "its out there already" is something similar to "if you saw someone you liked on the street, would you take a picture of them and share it online saying "look at this hottie"?" Most likely no* because that's wierd and creepy. Its the same concept: they're out in public, therefore they must allow people to take pics of them
Then don't do it with random peoples photos.
- I know some people do and that's ick, but in general you wouldn't do that. @alice@lgbtqia.space
OMG, the way these two toots lined up was perfect! 🤣

Been a productive couple of days:
- put a wash on
- helped my son with his CV and talked about job applications,
- been for a long (if blowy) walk, nearly loosing my hat numerous times
- now in the pub with a drink of water (and something stronger) and a book
How's your long weekend going lovely people?
Hecking wimdy tonight! Kinda glad I'm no longer a phone engineer, next couple of days will be busy for them.
Anyway, I had another fun night at Craft and Cake (sans cake), second time I've been and they were delighted I returned.
Still need to stop thinking of every social situation as an opportunity to find a girlfriend though, that's getting old real fast.
But I'm glad I'm getting out.
Had a great day at training today where I received my Lumina Splash. Its a psychometric questionnaire that shows you where you're strong and less strong in 8 concepts such as inspiration driven/discipline driven, big picture thinking/down to earth, extravert/introvert, outcome focused/people focused (each opposite ends of a hexagram (8-sided shape)).
I find it fascinating and love this kind of stuff. I think its really going to help me at work.
Seeing as I'm no longer a developer (or looking to become one) I think I need to think of a new username.
I don't know what though. I still want dodo in there (because I'm a total one), but not sure what.
Spent an extra 30 minutes past home time at work today because I was trying to install Dragon software. We had a file saved on our drive, but it wouldn't accept the licence code. I had to ask the use for the email they were sent, click on the link to download the (same) installer and install it from there to get it working.
Meanwhile, Edge nearly made me punch the screen by highjacking the link to the licence file with a page about how great their AI was. 1/x
Right, well, this sleep isn't going to have itself! Someone has to go to bed and seek it, may as well be me.
This I do for you fedi.
Night good people in my phone. Hope to see you tomorrow. 🤞
I've loved listening to Michael Buble for years. His voice is absolutely delicious (as is he).
I've listened to "Haven't Met You Yet" since it came out and loved singing it.
Its only just hit me that its about my current situation: eager for love and looking forward to being loved and loving another (an alternative interpretation is that its about waiting for a child to be born).
I'm sick of my brain constantly going "oooh" at every person it sees, but this song hit hard today 😮💨
