Also the actual arrest was a complete clown show and the defense keeps saying this or that piece of evidence isn't valid (correctly, even if one assumes thay any evidence touched by police is valid and that they regularly tell the truth), so that slows things down too. Also (I can't prove this part), the Powers that Be know they can't possibly convict in anything that can pass for a fair trial, and are afraid of the outcomes of him getting off and him getting blatantly railroaded.

They only had permission to put those in public spaces while the contract was active. Now it's over, if they aren't taking the cameras down they got no complaint coming if the city does.

Just reminding folks that some of us have been pointing out all along where this was going, and how much of it was already there in 2015, and in 2000, etc. and a lotta folks said we were stupid commies who didn't understand AmeriFreedom and none of that would ever happen. Anyone who was one of those folks would do well to pay more attention in future.

People who want capitalism maintained aren't anywhere on the left, regardless of their feelings about bigotry or infrastructure. Progressives want rainbow capitalism with infrastructure, but they're still on the side of capitalism, which is to say the side of fascism.
