Cover-up : The actor had some kind of real injury there, and they covered it up with a black spot because they thought that would be less distracting. Some kind of symbolism? Character building?

I'm still thinking about last night's #monsterdon. By 1959, I think gas lamps would be a real novelty for the younger characters, but they acted like it was perfectly mundane.

I still love this control panel from last night's #monsterdon. Most of the switches, lights, and dials make some kind of logical sense. But, what was even going through the set decorator's mind when he built this?

#Monsterdon Wait. That was it? That was the end? The movie didn't end, it just stopped!

#Monsterdon What if we showed the most boring part of the movie again, but this time with an echo?

#Monsterdon The original movie had more time between joining the crew of the rocketship and the inevitable attack. They used it to have the lady characters talk about which men they were going to claim to make babies with, and to do a bunch of magic tricks involving robots.

#monsterdon That's a great movie, even though bits of it don't make sense.

#Monsterdon "We don't have laser weapons!" We only have time-travel lasers that we can use to blow people up.
