@opensuse@fosstodon.org I got copies of RH5.2 from a bookstore in a mall because it looked interesting. Soon I ordered the full set of Debian 2.2 CDs from CheapBytes to take with me out to sea on my first 6mo deployment with the US Navy.

@hailey@hails.org debootstrap does the bare minimum for booting. You're expected to update the sources.list files and do an apt update and apt dist-upgrade after to configure.
