@blindcoder@homelab Frigate has been very reliable on my setup, if you have a 7th gen or newer Intel CPU with an iGPU don't forget to set up hardware acceleration for object recognition! Its very fast and accurate.
@kzimmermann@c.im When I had a failing stick of RAM I got really frequent tab crashes in Firefox but not other browsers, might be worth running memtest86 for 15 minutes or so to see if anything comes up.
@AAKL@infosec.exchange The whole problem really comes down to consent. If they just had a button to download and enable local AI that would be totally fine.
@bjoern@homelab I vote for the domain, it's a lot easier than dealing with a CA and getting that onto your devices. Plus then your URLs point to a real domain, as using a made up one can also cause issues sometimes.
@hawthornbunny@equestria.social Always nice to find something taking up space you can delete like that. Although it seems like a bug that the OS allowed it to grow so much! Cache/temp files should be cleaned automatically.
@zrail@hachyderm.io Did you update to 7.x kernel or stay on the latest 6.x version with the exploit fix? I'm a bit wary of updating to 7.x on my Proxmox nodes.
@sudonem@infosec.exchange This website doesn't work at all on mobile, at least half the content is just cut off. Why wouldn't they test their website..
@thecrawford@mastodonapp.uk See if anything comes up in budget when searching for computers with an Intel i5-6500 or i3-6100. Those tend to be really common and cheap.
@rolle@mementomori.social Surely if you're writing CSS you'd want to use Firefox if it's less up to date on the standards? Otherwise you're writing stuff that isn't compatible.
@dorian@retro.social Software is definitely the better option these days, ZFS is great and works on Linux too.
If you want a nice manager for VMs and LXC containers then Proxmox handles ZFS nicely too.
Otherwise just plain Debian is my go-to.
