@foone@digipres.club the video is super tacky but I still love the song.
PS: Does it count as rick roll if I do it to myself voluntarily? 😆

@dpk@chaos.social @jschauma@mstdn.social @janl@narrativ.es Disabling javascript and specially Java when browsing "unsafe" sites was the norm. Most sites did not use javascript except for triggering the popups. Not many "apps" back then.
Que buena es Ghost in the shell (la de Mamoru Oshii) por Tutatis!

@jschauma@mstdn.social Search engines were so useless that curated lists - aka web rings - and trading bookmarks over IRC was the search engine :D

@fanta@mastodon.green Nintendo DS?

@davidrevoy well, the order doesn't affect so everyone uses what they learned. But I don't have a fun mnemonic for "-rf" so...
I mean "remove, french style" sounds more expeditive! Bring the guillotines, we are purging this folder!
Seems we will need this a lot these days.
So, thanks yo the insistence of @accentedcinema@masto.ai I finally procured myself a copy of "Nobody" to watch and I have to say is one of the best animation movies I've seen in this decade. A movie that shows much nuance.

@iFixit been doing maintenance on the old family computers. Hard drive failed (rotten latex fittings) so replacing it with a BlueSCSI. Upgrading the memory (feeling luxurious, whole 4mb!)

@foone@digipres.club ohh I feel you. Especially after Word decided that autosave only works when you saved the document on onedrive. I decided to ditch Windows and embrace our Linux overlord after an update made me lose one day of work

@Kyebr @JustinMac84 @sawaba @pluralistic @iFixit It also helps that the artificial scarcity is inflating their margin nonetheless.

@davidrevoy it got me for a moment as I reverse the options (I remember better that way as "one should be careful when removing France" 😆)
@foone I feel ya. I was trying a Nvidia shield on an old (mid 2000s) tv and was surprised how responsive the tv felt. I should not be amazed that I click a button and the tv responds and yet here we are.

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange Your name got dropped on slashdot! (I know /. is not as popular as it used to be but is still nice):

Replying to
