RE: @Chemnitz24@mastodon.social

Replying to

@ShadSterling@mastodon.social @dthompson@toot.cat NetBSD already watered down their LLM stance from "no contributions that used LLM" to "contributions that used LLM are okay if you have written permission by NetBSD Foundation". I wonder when they will water it down further. At least #NetBSD has a proper AI stance. Most Linux distributions have no stance. So I am very much in favour of NetBSD.

Zunehmend nervt mich IT-Sysadministration mehr und mehr. Ein Beispiel: Früher: Web Server einrichten; HTML hinwerfen; fertig heute: Programmier/Skript-Sprache einrichten; Web Software einrichten; TLS Zeug einrichten; AI/LLM Abwehr einrichten; Bot-Abwehr einrichten; Monitoring einrichten; Datenbank einrichten; Backups einrichten; …

#FreeBSD 15.1 just entered beta status. https://www.freebsd.org/releases/15.1R/schedule/

Good time to start testing to find bugs so others don't find them in the release. ;-)

Replying to

@grahamperrin@mastodon.bsd.cafe seems my #FreeBSD 15.1 (BETA) issue is also resolved. pkg.freebsd.org got the missing directory kmods_quarterly_1. Wasn't there when I tried 5 days ago. Is there now. Installer needs it for the firmware packages.
