Unsolidarisches Verhalten kann in einer Gesellschaft voller Arschlöcher eine rationale Entscheidung sein.

You might be aware that AC is rather sparse over here in the first place. Like most patients in hospitals don't have a room with AC.
And the existing AC seems often designed for up to 35°C (95°F). Which means now at past 40°C (104°F) a lot of cooling systems are struggling and failing.
You might hear more in the next few days, but today cooling aisles in multiple supermarkets broke down.

The devil's in the details. Like the nights don't drop below 20°C (68F) here in central Europe (Frankfurt, Germany). So the heat builds up and gets everywhere.
What this means in practice: We are lucky to live in a well insulated house, so we can normally shrug off some heat spikes. But right now, at almost 10 pm local time, temperature outside is still 35°C (95°F). It's still 30°C (86°F) in our sleeping room.
And humidity is somewhere between 50%-75%.

Rage is aimed at what you want to leave behind. Rage has nothing to contribute to an utopia.
So I don't think there a place for rage in the solarpunk vision. There is probably a place for it in the solarpunk movement.
But personally, I think solarpunk is more a movement of imagining and building, than of raging. Heck, like most folks nowadays, I'm not short on rage.
But people are losing the vision of a society that doesn't hurt. Of a sustainable, just, good life.

Und die meisten Koalitionsoptionen sind hauchdünn. Da wäre Verlässlichkeit schon wichtig.
Nur CDU+Grüne+SPD hätte etwas Polster. Das gabs schonmal, war wohl anstrengend. Und ist natürlich auch nicht im Interesse von Volt.
Aber zu den Frankfurter Realitäten gehört halt auch, dass Stadtverordnete auch mal die Fraktion wechseln.

I read the Star Wars novel and liked how the force and Jedi spirituality were more fleshed out.
And his Alien books were quite enjoyable.
My personal favourite of his is "Nor crystal tears", though. First contact from the Thranx perspective. 🤩 Stumbled upon it at my smalltown library as a teen, and it got stuck in my head.

I see Solarpunk as a societal vision, and people trying to get there.
I'm not looking for a political movement, I already got one. (Although one that could be more bold and visionary at times, and less defensive and incremental.)
The nice thing about solarpunk is that it could bring a wider range of people together based on a common vision of a better tomorrow, and give them the examples and tools to build it.
But based on your text, you don't seem in the mood for this, I guess

What we are seeing right now is a lot of people saying "not this". But without somewhere to go together, the result is mostly just a state of shock and pain.
