Public shaming inducing screenshots 💯
A little reminder: You don’t free people, people free themselves
- You can only ask what you can do to facilitate and help
- You don’t know what they should be free from
- This is not about what conclusion you have on a subject, you need to remove your life path from the equation especially if its one full of a privileges
- You sure the hell don’t know what they need or should do
Don't make it about you.
Ustwo Games (Monument Valley) CEO (and known union buster) Maria Sayans declaring calmly: “We've been a little bit too romantic about the idea that we should have employees and give people long-term job security”

Some people should learn to be afraid again 🤬

“Thousands of CEOs admit AI had no impact on employment or productivity” yea it wasn’t really its purpose anyway, its more about layoff plans and putting pressure on the workers left

Just another day seeing the people from FOSS and hackers communities being completely hostile to design.
Its not coming from nowhere, its really something by-design (lol) coming from how, by who and why those movements and communities around has been created.
I wont go deep in de sociology behind all that here, but as long as it’s not identified as something systemic that need to be fought and not just “annoying boys will be annoying boys”, as long as there no radical changes on the culture in those movements, the designers will continue to burn themselves out trying to improve things alone without any structural support, and will leave and never go back.

I don’t much on how those things works but is there a service out there allowing me receive a Bluesky account’s post in my Mastodon timeline without requiring to setup a kind of bridge who would send my posts to Bluesky ?
(Not being able to interact with the posts isn’t an issue in my case)

Replying to
@mensrea@freeradical.zone as far i know you set element as a popover with an html not through a css property? (Im talking to tl native popover APIs, not popover as an general interface term https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Popover_API/Using)
Replying to
@Kilian@mastodon.social @nhoizey@mamot.fr oh i see I'm not the only one trying to get https://github.com/firstversionist/polypane/releases/download/v28.0.1/Polypane-28.0.1-universal.dmg who currently doesn't exist.
Best of luck with the fixing, hoping it's nothing too bad 🤞
You confirm there is no way to conditionally in CSS make an element a (native) popover ? Aka if i want my navigation to be displayed in a popover menu on small screens and not on bigger screens I need tl have two navs html in my html? #WebDev
