Apropos of nothing: Big thanks to Shiro Kawai for creating Gauche Scheme, which so far has been one of the best Scheme implementations I have used. It has worked well on every computer I have tried it on so far ({Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS} x {x86_64, i386, aarch64}). It is stable, very fast, and supports a large number of the more recent SRFIs (Scheme language extensions), it has very good compatibility with the R7RS language standard, and the Gauche REPL gosh is pretty easy to use as well. I always run the REPL in R7RS mode, so gosh -r7 -I. -i . Scheme people, give it a try sometime if you haven’t already! https://practical-scheme.net/gauche/ #tech #software #Scheme #R7RS #Lisp #SchemeLang #FunctionalProgramming #Gauche

#introduction, bitch. I'm Logan (himbo/thembo) your new favorite Haskell homosexual. Fresh handle, same menace: I torched the old account and rose from the git history like a phoenix in a clean -Wall -Werror build.

I write functional code, filthier commit messages, and a blog nobody asked for → thisfieldwas.green. I WILL explain monads to you unprompted and make it weird. Category theory is my love language, parser combinators are my whole personality, and yes, type systems are a little bit hot.

When I'm not bullying types into submission I'm a devoted reality TV scholar who knows exactly who deserved to win. I contain multitudes and most of them are gay.

Come for the lambdas, stay because I refactored your data pipeline and left you on read. Boost if you also gasp at a well-typed function.
