I was installing fresh installs of Cachyos and Windows yesterday and the experience was night and day.
The windows installer took four times as long, wasn't scaled correctly to my monitor, and didn't work with my peripherals so I had to dig around for a mouse.

It also added a bunch of bloatware I don't need, while failing to install the drivers I do need, which CachyOS just gave me without me lifting a finger.

No one told me that once you turned 30 you were cursed to be always aware of the existence of your knees!!

what's up guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing this razer mouse. Right out of the box, I can tell you the form factor is great, perfectly sized for my head, nice and smooth too. The only downside is that it keeps cycling through an RGB lighting pattern which ruins my sleep. 6/10.

I regularly tell people that 'no one goes into accessibility for money', because accessibility professionals have to have deep knowledge across multiple specialties and are NOT adequately compensated for that knowledge. I think I have to revise that statement though, because clearly there is money to be made by being the biggest capitalist grifter ready to extract value out of a marginalized group. A shame.

My current contract is ending in September and a part of me is oddly zen about it, but I'm not sure if I should listen to that part or the 5% of me that's screaming crying throwing up about the prospect of looking for something else

I just encountered the worst credit card form in existence. They 'helpfully' split up the credit card number field into four inputs, which breaks all autofill, and then if you made a typo in one of the inputs, you had to basically race the browser to click into the field to delete its contents before the debounce timer. How much money are they losing off of this??
