@deerfox@booping.synth.download I haven’t played that particular game, but I feel the same way about animal crossing (new horizons specifically); there’s always stuff to do, always stuff I could be doing, so I want to do all of it which increases my stress level, and the new tasks never end so there’s never time to relax 😅 I’d imagine stardew valley is similar?

when I first met a grapheneos developer and „security researcher“ in the wild, way before I’d even consider running it, I got such extreme 4chan troll vibes that I decided to never engage with that project in any way.

remembered yesterday that I once wanted to make a non evil version of pokémon go.
would run fully offline (aside from GPS ofc), use gen 1 style fully 2d pixel graphics for everything, turn-based combat and capture systems,…just brainstorming with my wife a revealed that I have so many fun ideas for this.
now I just need the time and the gamedev skills to actually do this 🥴

I found some things rather amusing, like the fact that you can turn a cow 牛 into the concept of life and birth by adding a single stroke 生
also, while we’re on the cow topic, if you use 勿 to negate a cow, you get 物, which is a thing or an object.
and if you add life to that to make a living object, 生物, now that’s a creature! :D

so the kanji for the number 4 is 四.
I was curious as to why that contains the radical for „legs“ enclosed in a box, and I have decided that this probably references an animal in a cage or similar (or the enclosure is just for emphasis) and animals have four legs.
this is based on absolutely nothing except looking at the radicals involved. :)
