#Language dilemma. I feel part of an international community and therefore prefer to toot in #English. However, I also follow many persons and institutions in my native #Germany, and do boost or comment on their (German) activities too.
However, I often hesitate in order to not annoy non-German speakers. How to deal with this? Split my activities in an DE and an EN-only account? Just tag the toot language and let people filter out toots by language on their side themselves? Have others solved that problem in different ways? Or is that no problem for you at all?

Looked a bit deeper into the precendents of @CollaboraOffice vs @tdforg now.
Some TDF board votes seem very much biased and unfair. E.g. to invalidate Simon Phipps @webmink vote in https://community.documentfoundation.org/t/vote-adopt-version-1-of-community-bylaws/13472/8 as a "conditional" and thereby "not countable" has a very bad reek.
All he did, is to say (paraphrased): "We should not have this vote for [reasons], BUT IF WE DO PROCEED, I VOTE NO"
Still, there are only looser, no winners, a pity.

Update: Habe die Mitarbeiterzahl von Dataport recherchiert... 😨 Ich hatte gerade den Genuss eines Passwortresets, genauer gesagt des 2FA codes, weil mein Handy mit der TOTP kaputt ging. Der 2 Telefonate, 30 Minuten und das Versenden von Screenshots per Mail beinhaltete. Weil es einen 2FA Reset Self-Service nicht gibt, das scheint kein Standardprozess zu sein

Wir glauben dass das die vielversprechendste Strategie ist um Social Media Redaktionen von Universitäten und die öffentliche Hand zu überzeugen. Man kann sich aber gerne bei unserem Aktionsbündnis beteiligen und Aktionen mitformen.
P.S. Ich zumindest bin nicht und war nie Mitglied der Gesellschaft für @informatik@mas.to, der Beitrag kommt von zwei Individuen die sich im @neuSoM@bewegung.social engagieren.

@The_Escapist@mastodon.social alles gut 😘. Wir wissen was es gibt und wie sinnvoll andere Varianten des Fediverse sind. Aber eine Strategie muss man fahren und Mastodon IST 'ein Baustein' der Lösung. Das Fediverse ist eher schon ein ganzes Legokonstrukt 🤗
