mastodon 4.6.8Isle of Wight based picture seller. I run a small gallery selling my husband's landscape photography. Previously I worked as a project worker in a centre for the homeless and rootless and later in homeless prevention/tenancy support. I tend to post photos of the Isle of Wight , boost other photos that appeal to me, share what music I'm (and others I follow) are listening to. In my case it's usually rock! Give me nature, animals, music, vegan food, Coventry City FC and I'm happy!

What a sunset last night!!
I was buying bananas in the local Co op as Steve headed to the beach to capture this.
To be fair the sky was incredible outside the Co op too!

Our son is eligible to vote for the first time today. My Mum has limited mobility since her recent heart attack. Son has informed me that he is voting Green, Mum has just made it to and from the polling station unaccompanied and tells me she voted Green 💚

Listening to 6 Music at work. Craig Charles has just announced he's stepping away from presenting his shows for at least a month. He's being there for his wife who lost both her parents in a matter of weeks.
Really feel for him. It was courageous to make that announcement rather than just disappear for a few weeks, which he was perfectly entitled to do.
First person in the shop today nicks a fridge magnet! Times are hard, but really??

Just had someone come into the shop to tell me they were a subscriber to our YouTube channel and it was lovely to meet me.
I was so gobsmacked that I just babbled on and didn't say it was lovely to meet them too.
Probably think that I'm a right knob now!
I love this gift from my parents. I shall be clock watching all day now 😅

It never fails to wind me up when someone asks for a discount. This time over the phone because they want to order 2 canvases. We're grateful for every order, but if we could sell our work, all handmade any cheaper we would.
See how far you'd get if you went into the Range/Dunelm etc and asked for a discount if you wanted 2 of their mass produced canvases.
Why do it to a small business?

@Troggie@beige.party I found that putting them on my hip worked better for me, just at the point where the bum fat starts.
That's the technical description of the site. I also used to apply them in a slightly crouched position, so my skin was as taught as it could be to get the biggest stickiest area 😅

I had a similar one for Christmas 24. I built all of it after so much swearing. Then the roof fell off and I put it in the bin in a rage.
I should never have done that, but it made me so stressed!
