I did not expect to be having metaphysical conversations with a gentleman in a Glasgow beer terrace, but such is life.

Equally, didn't expect to run into the same gentleman, 15 mins later, with his "old mam". I'd expected a wizened old crone, not the stylish, rather glamorous lady of 80 years who would easily pass for 20 years younger.

Proper rain! Thunder! Lightning!

Hail Taranis!!

Gloriously cloudy and drizzly in Cork this morning. This is much more like it!

Off to Glasgow for the weekend, which will hopefully be as not-sunny & hot as Scotland's reputation would suggest.

That was a little rumble of thunder. A thunderstorm would be *so* welcome!

Lads, it's too hot for me. I don't like this at all.

Apparently it is 26°C, with a "real feel" of too fucking hot.

I would like to lose at least 10 of those degrees C, and for it to be raining, please.

In The Three Judges, in Glasgow. One of my favourite pubs, anywhere. 9 handpumps for cask ale!
