The Cliffs of Moher, as seen from our July cruise aboard Borealis around the coast of Ireland. The sandstone and shale cliffs run for 14 kilometres, ranging from 100 to 200 metres in height. #Photography #Travel #Cruise #Ireland #Geology #Landscape #CliffsOfMoher #Ireland #Cliff #TravelTuesday

Just had a brief session of fireworks going off somewhere in this or the next street over followed by three, very loud, solitary bangs that sounded more like cannon fire than rocket-propelled pyrotechnics. Hopefully a pirate ship and a brief celebration of International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Disappointed that Marillion couldn't find a Chip to replace Fish. #TOTP

First song we heard in the ship's wine bar during our cruise this last weekend was Rage Hard. Surprised us, and in a most excellent way. #TOTP

Numero Uno! Yeah, love this. #TOTP

@bigvimto@mendeddrum.org The old Matey bottles, yes. #TOTP

Miss You Much. From the Rhythm Nation 1814 album, the only Janet Jackson album I ever bought. On tape. Remember playing it in my Nissan Micra in the car park at college. #TOTP

Hopped on a cruise ship for the weekend to Belgium. We're docked in Zeebrugge today, somewhere we've been manyntimes when visiting Bruges, Ghent, or Blankenberge. Today, to be different, we took the tram to Knokke for a look around. Warm, windy, one torrential downpour, and lots of art around this seaside town. Currently enjoying a Belgian ale in the sun before we head back to the ship and home tomorrow. #Cruise #Photography #Travel #Belgium #Knokke #KnokkeHeist #Art #Sculpture

Commodore should've named their sound chip Lionel instead of SID. #TOTP

I like any chance to be reminded of this Jimmy Somerville related video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_DWWE3cjgg #TOTP

My wife hates Kate Bush, but when I sing along with Kate Bush, well, let me tell you, that makes the experience far worse for her. #TOTP

Farley's got all the Soul Glo in his hair. #TOTP

Sometimes we SHOUT! #TOTP

When are zoot suits making a comeback? #TOTP

The felt like an entire hour of back-to-back shit. I couldn't even find the energy for snark. #TOTP

What a wonderful chart rundown. Mostly. #TOTP

Just the one #TOTP tonight despite what the TV guide website led me to believe earlier. Still, I'll take a single episode of 1970s TOTP over the episode from 2000 it threatened any day.

Best white Swedish rap group ever. Definitely in the top two. #TOTP

Wife's just been reminiscing about seeing Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Vixen, and the good half of Aerosmith at Milton Keynes. #TOTP

Def Leppard then Mötley Crüe. My wife is very happy indeed. #TOTP

@u0421793@toot.pikopublish.ing I was thinking an episode of The Prisoner, but yeah. #TOTP

@hellhound@mementomori.social Yes. We're watching classic episodes of Top of the Pops here on the #TOTP tag, and it's 1986.

Sub-mediocre hip hop is still far better than Oasis or Craig David. #TOTP

D.I.S.C.O. (Mastodon version) They are D... Divergent (Neuro) I... Into Linux S... So into Linux C... Crikey, how much Linux? O... Oh, that much Linux. #TOTP

Christ, but this episode is awesome. #TOTP

You can win a prize if you guess the weight of XTC's lead singer's hair. #TOTP

"So, in this video, I'd like you all covered in white sticky stuff." "What does this have to do with labours of love?" "Ha, good question. Shut up." #TOTP

@TheVoidTLMB@social.vivaldi.net I wish Tony Dortie had made the move over here. #TOTP

#TOTP claim to fame. Someone from Hi-Tension once replied to me on Twitter back in the day.

That thing where bands you can't stand will actually put out a tune you can't help but tap your toes to a tad. #TOTP

Oh, what an atmosphere! #TOTP

Thought I'd skip the really terrible music of the first hour of tonight's #TOTP by catching some of the #Darts World Grand Prix instead, forgetting that Aspinall walks on to the fucking terrible Mr Brightside.

For the #JukeboxFridayNight theme of #Royalty this week, the original version rather than the Mason remix that was far more successful. Princess Superstar - Perfect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPlAcrwazXs #Music #Video #PrincessSuperstar #Perfect

Fascinating Rhythm is an absolute banger. One of my favourites songs of this period. #TOTP

It would be five years after this #TOTP performance that I insulted Def Leppard on a Usenet group at university and had such a flood of replies from around the world that I had to explain what had happened to the dean.

Disappointed that nobody's posted a picture of Barry Took yet. #TOTP

Got Jane Wiedlin confused with Lori Petty, looking up which Voyager episode she'd been in - she hadn't - but then discovered she was in Star Trek IV and I'd never realised. So there's that. #TOTP

@Ruddred@cupoftea.social Wife just told me that her sister went to see him recently(ish?) too, and that he was apparently fabulous as well. #TOTP

I don't think I'd seen that Big Country video before but I liked the idea behind it, even if it felt like there was more of anthemic concept than the song deserved. #TOTP

I really fancy a Rowntree's Montego chocolate biscuit now. #TOTP

Lipps Inc > whoever the crap this is. #TOTP

Don't think I've ever heard this Squeeze track before, but I like the pep. #TOTP

Always enjoyed that Wax video. #TOTP

Sad Café time. Wife and I getting ready to harmonise the chorus to each other. #TOTP

I smiled throughout Holiday Rap. That's all I need from a song. #TOTP

Thing is, growing up with an Irish Roman Catholic mum, this song was very popular and belted out by her when it would come on the radio. So there's a memory there. It's arguably trauma, but it's part of me. #TOTP

Keyboardist with Patches O'Houlihan's lucky scarf. #TOTP

Right, Aspinall was decent enough to finish his match before the good #TOTP episodes start, but horrible enough to win his match meaning there's a risk of hearing his walk-on music in the next round if I'm not careful.

Before becoming a Jackmaster one must first spend several years as a Jackapprentice. #TOTP

Skipped the 2000s #TOTP for what I'd like to call my sanity, but here now for the good stuff.
