Can I just say that a follow on here is just so meaningful. Like an actual human somewhere saw a post of mine that made them feel something positive, then checked out my profile, and thought, "yeah, I'd like some of this in my feed".
And my post only reached them because another human had felt the same way.
I cherish each one of you that decided to tag along!

"Harmonious Geometry: The Hirajoshi Wave.
Watch as these spheres trace the hauntingly beautiful paths of the C Hirajoshi scale.
Each ball is tuned to a specific frequency within this traditional Japanese pentatonic scale (C, D, Eb, G, Ab), creating a mesmerizing "Polyrhythmic Pendulum" effect.
From the sharp, angular bounce to the fluid, sweeping curves of the rainbow trails, this is where physics meets fine art.

Just watched "Obsession" (2026).
Modern horror masterpiece. And the main character gives me heavy Bruce Campbell Evil Dead vibes.

Waited 3½ hrs for the storms to pass, then an ASAP setup. Normally 20-30k ppl at this event, but almost nobody there until much later, closer to the fireworks. Still fun, even though the gear got damp in the subsequent fog!
Mamdani doing it right.
This is the message worthy of this country. Happy 250th!!

@caseynewton@mastodon.social I was hopeful, but logging on there feels gross after just a few posts. It's so staggeringly artificial; I just can't.
And they haven't implemented effective enough tools to give one adequate control over the feed.
TLDR it's of little use, and even less fun.

@alisynthesis@io.waxandleather.com My first thought is a small/tiny Fender combo or boutique version thereof. Slightly more watts if I want it clean, less if I'm going to push it.
With what I currently own I'd bring my open back 112 + my Seymour Duncan Powerstage.

@ewen@social.ewenbell.com Crazy that he wrote the screenplay for the 007 film "You Only Live Twice" (1967)

@_slotek_@mastodon.social Put it this way… My wife doesn't really like sci-fi, so is this a film she would like?
Replying to
@_slotek_@mastodon.social Nice! Was wondering if it was just Oscar bait, although I like the director. How sci fi is it?
Replying to
@alisynthesis@io.waxandleather.com Me either. From what I gather the 10" fenders are quite capable, but I prob wouldn't go smaller, esp since you're looking for clean. That's where a 12 might be the sweet spot—clean when necessary, loud enough for a gig when necessary

@ewen God those orange gradients... not a hint of banding. Is that down to the RAW, or the sensor, or something else? And I love how you left detail in the shadows, in case anyone wants to zoom in 😜 But very deftly; looks to be right on the edge of clipping into black

@ewen On the positive side, with each day that passes there's less future to worry about 😎

@mattsheffield@mastodon.social When your vision for the country is trying to build a surveillance police state to benefit the rich pedophiles, having an ample supply of education-free hopeless wage slaves is super helpful

@ics@sonomu.club Saw a video and thought "this would be an awesome Swiss Army knife for recording"

@mattsheffield@mastodon.social Also, I wonder what it's like on Threads, because it feels like an inorganic ghost town in some ways

@ics@sonomu.club I'm not a fuzz connoisseur at all, but I was like this does a bunch of sounds I recognize

@toxi@mastodon.thi.ng Unglaublich. Seit Jahren hatte ich ein ähnliches Bild vom Internet als wallpaper im Handy... wäre mir nie eingefallen, das ich irgendwann selber sowas aufnehmen würde!
Seriously considering trying this, for all my voiced text input. Definitely my work reports.

Memory cards. I remember those. We used to have them until they got really expensive, so expensive that we started to just make wooden sticks with graphite inside them and then mash up some of the wood into sheets and then used them two together to create photographs without the use of any other devices.
