For the last two years my bike's rear cog was held in place with epoxy glue and prayers. This happened because the lock nut welded itself to the hub and had to be cut open. The hub's thread was so destroyed that it needed to be replaced. I needed the bike so I McGyvered this solution. This time I put some anti-seize on the thread so this should not happen again.

@larstransportworld@mastodon.social It is really funny going the from Aalborg. You enter a small train and exit a massive one. Where once sat the train driver now is a portal to a hundred meters more of train. Feels a bit surreal.

@dirk@gts.0x7be.net @CoMaps@floss.social I assume it checks whether the feature was edited after the map was pulled from the database and does some heuristics before applying a change.

What is the preferred way to add a component (specifically a capacitor) with internally shorted pins in #kicad? Specifically these big four pin film capacitors.
Should I use the default C symbol with two pads and create a footprint with four pads: 1,1,2,2? Or should I make a custom symbol with pins 1,2,3,4? Is there a library somewhere with standard big film caps?

I bought a PCB from JLC and sent it with DTP via DHL. But DHL does not do DTP for B2B so they held my package until I give them VAT or declare the JLC PCB as B2C.

@openstreetmap@en.osm.town IMO elements should slowly fade depending on the zoom level and not disappear suddenly. At certain zoom levels roads have missing segments. Train lines and rivers disappear before highways. At low zoom levels OSM becomes just a map of highways #carCentrism

@partim@social.tchncs.de If they can document that people choose different form of transport or review their business negatively, because of it, maybe they have a case.

@cccpresser @wieserfalke I would maybe remove the vertical lines on the electrodes (so there is less visual noise close to arrows) and make the arrowheads a bit longer. But it looks quite good already.

@q@glauca.space @domi@donotsta.re some common format is necessary so we don't need one scraper per company. Are you involved in that? Will you supervise/contribute or do you trust they will do it right?

@haineux @FluentInFinance do you ever go shopping with your car? In Denmark every supermarket with car parking has a charger. That is one of the ways of attracting customers.

@whynothugo Take a piece of metal, needs to have a reasonable thermal mass. Heat up with a flame until it glows (try not to have soot on it). Solder with that.

@gregdavill@chaos.social Put the sample in a water-sugar solution to match the refractive index of the epoxy. You should get a clearer image. You can control the refractive index of the solution by changing the ratio of ingredients.
