Daily curse of @nyunyu@mastodon.world
First time very-long-range #driving an #EV:
- charged to 100% for free (solar/PV) over the last 3 days, before departing
- charging stations are surprisingly simple yet awesome tech
- the UI/UX sucks as much as that of petrol stations 🙄
- ABRP for planning upfront: 1 minute to do it, zero range anxiety
- costs for quick charging are slightly lower than petrol
- hotels usually offer free charging with the parking ticket
- EV is so much smoother
So far, everything feels like an upgrade.
Successfully delivered a software project to a client today: too bad to see them go, but they were very happy and positively impressed with the final result.
In other news, if you need me to design a software system, please do feel to reach out :-)

Well, credit card pre-approved charges no longer cover a full fuel tank...
Can't wait to get rid of my dinosaur guzzler.
Coming from @Romm@mastodon.social's Valinor design, Zod feels like a step backwards.
Instead of declaring language-level symbols, one seems to assemble complex DTOs made of Zod types.
It's type-safe, but it's really sticky, and you end up not being able to use a native type anymore? 🤔
Wireguard when it works: amazing.
Wireguard when it doesn't work: it's a silent protocol, fuck you!
Is there something like a post-quantum security key (Yubikey) out there?
Otherwise, sticking with my RSA key until that happens - migrating is so much effort :-\
So... did #FattureInCloud just shut down for today?
https://secure.fattureincloud.it/ seems very dead to me...
We meet again, simple-phpunit: I shall prevail.
Is there a pattern/name for a concept of a "lens" or "specification" pre-applied to a persistence repository?
Thinking, roughly:
interface SuperSecretStuffRepository {
function find(SomeId): VeryImportant;
}
interface FilterForUser {
function apply(User, SuperSecretStuffRepository): SuperSecretStuffRepository;
}
It certainly is some sort of decorator.
Pseudo-code is #php
