It’s still a bit too cold for inspections and a proper introduction will have to wait. In the meantime I’m preparing their new accommodations. #beekeeping #yellow #pink

@That_One_Guy@mastodon.world Better luck next time – hopefully they'll find a lower branch.

@Pepijn@mastodon.online I can highly recomend getting a hive – bees are pretty easy going and it's a rewarding hobby. You can get in touch with your local beekeper association, they'll have "school"-hives you can have a look at and a course for beginners you can join.

@ocramius@mastodon.social Haha yes - we’re feeling the effect of the storm “Dave” here and the colonies are still light this early in the season. It’s a quick fix, I usually anchor the hives to the foundation they are standing on - just didn’t want to take any chances.

I knew I’d seen that color scheme before! 😁

@Pepijn@mastodon.online Yes, but they all positive and enjoying the honey we produce. The bees are barely noticeable outside the yard.

@jenspoder@masto.nu Stort set det eneste band jeg lytter til for tiden! Nyt album 3. april ✋🔺🤚

@whybird@aus.social @michael_w_busch@mastodon.online That’s great! It’s probably not a coincidence - the Children of Time books rely on an “uplift virus” as a plot device 😃 The Children of Time books are among my favorite sci-fi series. Happy reading!

@whybird@aus.social @michael_w_busch@mastodon.online Thanks for the recomendation – I'll add Sundiver to my reading list.

@michael_w_busch@mastodon.online I recommend reading Adrian Tchaikovsky, sci-fi author and zoologist🕷️
