Pardon my language, but this too fucking cool! #a11y https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2026/05/apple-unveils-new-accessibility-features-and-updates-with-apple-intelligence/

Hindustani Music is sooo good for working! Found a whole new appreciation for the genre.

1. I don’t believe this
2. I don’t see why you would lie about this
3. More young women need to hear this! As a co-organiser of @swiftpune@mastodon.social I recently had a chance to meet under-grad students, and while most were highly motivated, some were extremely demoralised because of past grades.

Thank you for sharing this! Mind if I use a picture of your post in my slides with credit?

App Store review taking over 2 days to approve a macOS TestFlight build really puts a hold-short in my release cycles. Very annoying!

I did the math of running LLMs locally in India, specifically my city of Pune.

The problem is energy costs! Pune has notoriously high energy costs. Combined with cooling infra I’d require, it’s effectively cheaper for me to subscribe to one of the $20 plans.

Am I offloading my environmental impact elsewhere? Yes!

And am I continually using LLMs for my work? No!

So this revelation completely changes my preferences for my Mac upgrade.

Last working day of the week for me.

I could get used to 4-day weekdays.

Pre-monsoons finally aligned on the Mumbai coast! ☺️

This has been a brutal summer for India, one of the hottest in recorded history!

Apple Music has no business looking this good (since iOS 26.4?) 👏🏼

TIL of @ ScaledMetric

@aaron_pearce@mastodon.social ooo, I can see this being very handy. Couldn’t you coalesce and serialise the commands and send it to the camera for the diagonals?

@Theorem_Poem@mstdn.social been an Abhay Deol fan since Dev-D

@Theorem_Poem@mstdn.social that’s my point here: you can’t change how your name is spelt and suddenly expect good stuff come your way and the universe bend itself over for you 🙃🙆🏽‍♂️

Migration Assistant over Thunderbolt (4 in this case) is such a blessing!

@rudrank@mastodon.social we’ll be landing straight into “May the 4th be with you” posts

@ni_nad@mastodon.social I presently have a 13.5kWh solar net metered setup. It still doesn’t work out since we are net-negative on that system (intentionally). Cannot increase capacity of that system further.

My cost analysis was: price of existing hardware (at date of purchase) + energy costs for running that hardware & cooling / workload over one month (April).

Just cheaper for me to pay a $20 subscription should I need it.

@aaron_pearce@mastodon.social ah dang! That’s a lot of custom logic then. This can still be enabled for cameras that you know support it?

BTW, which cameras support this? Curious as I’m due for an upgrade for my home’s system.

I can't be the only one on the iOS Folks Slack group mainly for the #food channel, right? RIGHT?

@Theorem_Poem@mstdn.social the two “n” at the end of the first name gave it away? 🫣😛
