Unrefined #Fediverse / #Mastodon idea: have a platform (with at least one instance managed by a trustable structure) to host all accounts from recently shut-down servers. Read only, likely no posts, just backups of profile data.

Enable users (authentified with their email?) to download their following/followers/etc data even after their server closed.

Ça pourrait être un bon entre-deux, maintenant que j’ai tout le monde sur Signal et WA, et encore besoin de cartes pour m’orienter où je vis, tout en ayant envie de revenir à des touches et un format plus petit, et surtout besoin d’une friction bien plus grande à l’utilisation.

For cases where colours are category differentiators and it doesn’t matter that green=yellow+blue, I’d feel that the symbols end up looking very similar and easy to mix up, while entirely different symbols (star, square, cross, etc) would make the categories much more distinctive? Edit: I can see how it also works well as a mnemonic in cases you’d call the categories “green”, etc.

@Pepijn Likely only Christianborg in Copenhagen, and only because I lived there and basically only the tower because it had a nice view and is free to go up in 😅 I don’t remember visiting parliaments when touristing in capitals (or I might have forgotten), and I never saw the one in France even from the outside (having been in the capital only twice 😂). To be clear, I’m interested in what happens in there, just not particularly the places themselves!

@yann_t@mastodon.design OutDesign a l’air super pour faire les autres supports ensuite (web, etc), mais une partie du travail peut être déjà préparée à la source. Du coup oui je vois comme OutDesign est parfait pour récupérer n'importe quel fichier InDesign et faire tout le travail en aval quel que soit le niveau de prépa du fichier source initial, c'est super. Mais dans un processus où c'est peut-être la même personne qui fait tout, préparer à la source et compléter/affiner dans Out, ce serait pratique 😊

Oui dans des fichiers pour l’impression c’est pas nécessaire, mais quand on fait un doc destiné à être (seulement ou aussi) distribué en PDF en ligne, c’est un peu un passage obligé pour que le PDF soit un minimum sémantique et accessible 😊 (bon okay le PDF est pas le meilleur format de distribution pour ça mais des fois c’est ce qui est demandé)

Someone in the 60s or something amusingly called stuff to transport data “buses” and that was a fun idea, and it was ruined in the 90s by hiding it into an initialism :(

Issues with the four separate panels: – Panels gets cropped on default Mastodon so it doesn’t look that good and text/scene isn’t all visible – Cannot be read at once on desktop, requires clicking around at least 4 times, an incentive to scroll past – Harder to reshare easily (if that’s a goal) / no credits or licence (that can be fixed) I see how it’s better for mobile. Also fit for Pixelfed and similar!

La mairie a refait des cartes électorales avec le nom du nouveau maire, ça je ne le savais pas. J’étais sur les listes, j’avais une carte électorale visiblement en cours de validité, mais le service électoral de la mairie avait une ancienne adresse. La nouvelle carte est revenue à l’expéditeur, j’ai été radié.

On m’a répondu (par courrier quelques temps après) que c’était pas possible parce que j’étais radié. Trop tard pour se réinscrire. Je n’aurais pas fait de procuration, je serais arrivé au bureau de vote le jour J avec la carte électorale d’avant et sans être sur la liste 😅

They use so many dark patterns that I won’t be surprised if we learn that they consider that using the website without closing the banner is a consent, or if they detext hiding the banner as closing it and using the default consent settings. An add-on that actually refuses on your behalf feels safer unfortunately. I use uBlock for everything else.
