...long before pocket distraction rectangles, when all was analogue, we spent lots of time waiting around, chatting with whoever was nearby, and staring off into space thinking about things.
...letters used to be a thing, a way that you could spend a bit of time to communicate in a physically manifested way that would last for a long time. Letters would often bring forth tears when received and more tears when found decades later in shoe boxes in attics.

If you are in #Berlin there will be a great party out front when #AxelSpringer tries to give Peter #Thiel the #fascist this award on 24 September 2025.

I feel ya, brother. But still would be great if Holyrood and gov would move on:
- RCI: force SLP BO disclosure for land
- ban SLPs from public contracts
- Police Scotland SLP taskforce
- AML audits of Scots firms
- Scottish SLP risk list + bank alerts

Me too. But quite the pejorative term among older confused Georgians (the one near Chechnya not the one near Alabama). Stalin and the worst Soviets used it as a sort of generic nationalistic insult and the residue has lasted among the Putin/Orban crew.
But thanks for the reminder. It's due for a renewed embrace.

@gdinwiddie@mastodon.social The most saintly person I have ever known was my grandparents gardiner. He and his wife are buried right next to Joseph Heller. Great trio.

Thank you for this.
When I go into settings, I don't have anything that says import or export...
I found this, "In the settings menu, click on the "Data export" tab, which is located on the left side of the screen." My settings don't have that anywhere that Incan find. Is that possible?

Each jurisdiction has its role and piece of the pie.
London is where the babysitters meet the oligarchs to set up the Scottish entities through which to launder the funds.

Great new book by the world's authority on oligarchy and money laundering, for those interested:

Libraries have printers and find fun uses for these in case you may be interested. They're free.

I go for Digital Independence myself.
Independence has the right vibe, at least for (US) Americans, and avoids the Sovereignty bro coding.
