Good Monday Morning ☕️ Back from a little photography adventure in London 📍 The More London Riverside complex is a contemporary mixed-use development with offices, retail, and leisure space. It was built between 2000 and 2010 and designed by Foster + Partners. Have a cracking week, people ☀️ #blackandwhite #monochrome #architecture #photography #shotoniphone

At-home macro experiments 🔎 The collection so far.

All shot using Apple ProRAW on an iPhone 📱 I've written about my findings. Spoiler alert 🚨 I won't be going back to JPG 😉

Unsplash’s Quietly Brilliant Stance on AI 🚫 "In an increasingly AI-dominated stock photography world, let’s take a moment to celebrate Unsplash. Their strictly no AI policy demonstrates incredibly strong content values. They didn’t follow suit. Nor did they surrender to the bullshit. They stood by their vision and mission. There’s a lot to be said for that these days." https://mikehindle.uk/words/unsplashs-quietly-brilliant-stance-on-ai/ #blog #writing #noai #photography #illustration

Behind the scenes 🧐

Here's my ridiculously basic macro setup 🔎

Normally, the iPhone is placed upside down and rests on the paper in front of the subject, so it's at the same level.

I'll need to experiment with some different compositions soon, though.

In Search of Natural-Looking iPhone Photos 📱 This one follows my last post on Apple’s outrageous HDR settings and over-baked images. Since then, I’ve been tinkering and experimenting. Three solutions, one of which I’ll be sticking with. If you're looking to remove HDR, over-processing and excessive sharpening from your iPhone photos, this one's for you 🙌🏻 https://mikehindle.uk/words/in-search-of-natural-looking-iphone-photos/ #apple #iphone #photography #tech #blog #writing #shotoniphone

Photomator Appreciation Post 🙌🏻 Ayup! I've been using Photomator on and off for a while now. Since I returned to using my iPhone for photography, though, it's become my most-used editing app. Paired with shooting Apple ProRAW, it's producing some really rather pleasing results. If you're a) an Apple user and b) looking for a viable Lightroom alternative, this one's for you!
