Monday through Friday (UTC+8), I’ll be posting a fresh wildlife photo from my latest travels—as long as my backlog holds up!
I don't post-process my wildlife photos and also don't watch short-form videos, which would require a whole article to explain the reason. All photos shared except boosted are taken by me. My zodiac sign in Chinese culture is "Horse".

Howdy friends, new week, back to posting. Still from last week's visit to Putian City, a female Blue Rock Thrush.

Damselflies, also from Putian City two days ago. I switched to 18-135mm lens this time. It's against the sunlight so more of a silhouette vibe. See you all next week.
I was out practicing tracking skills on a group of Barn Swallows yesterday, not able to get any good shots. But this Little Egret standing in front of reeds just before sunset seems to trigger a peaceful mood.

I kept bumping into Common Kingfisher. I waited for two hours to see this kingfisher landing on this branch, but it's then chased off by the Chinese Pond Heron before I could see some fish catching actions, spotted at a small park in Putian City last week.

Plumbeous Water Redstart (male) looking vigilant to make sure there is no danger nearby before it enjoys its meal, spotted at a stream in Putian City yesterday.

I am really shamed of sharing this. But here we go, the story behind it: I was out birding at a local park and saw a man carrying a bird. The bird has its both feet chained to a black stick installed to a water bottle. I asked him what's going on? He said he bought the bird at a local store and now is what he claimed to be "walking" the bird. I just don't understand that there are stores allowed to sell birds. I edited the photo to be monochrome on my phone.
After using TAMRON 150-600mm G1 lens on Canon 80D for almost six months, I wrote up a short post to share some personal thoughts. I hope it's helpful to folks who want to start wildlife photography but have a small budget to start with. I'm not a native English speaker, so please let me know if some parts of the post is not clear or you have more questions on my camera and lens combo.
