Started in #radio 30+ years ago, which transitioned to #podcast 20+ years ago. “Mac OS Ken” focuses on Apple news. Used to do a show - “The Checklist” focused on security. And another about #StarTrek. These days, all the I REALLY want to talk about are #fountainpens, #printmaking, #stationery, #Apple, #podcasting and #radio.
The image at the top is a collection of fountain pens on display. The icon is a cast pewter “no kings” pendant.
Hello @rejinl@masto.nyc. About a year ago your work inspired an idea - Making scale-mail out of paper. Well here we are. 26” tall by 15” across. 67 scales. Paper = upcycled junk mail. The colors are from fountain pen inks mixed in the pulp, then baked at a low temp for about an hour. Held together with twine (amazingly intricate and haywire on the back). Made the scales almost a year ago and finally put it all together this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement! #art #handmade #paper
“This one horse has three offspring competing in this year's Kentucky
Derby.”
Asked if they could be any more proud, the horse said “neigh.”
“Nobody’s ever seen anything like it” would be a drinking game that would KILL YOU.
So - this feels like an important story. It’s a piece from The Atlantic on Hitler’s obsession with architecture. Just a piece about history.
Apple News link, because that’s what I have. But find it where you can. Well worth a read.

@dtm@mastodon.cc yeah. Feels like we’ve handed Gatling guns built by 8th graders to 5th graders.
@dtm@mastodon.cc not complaining, but the survey response options are not nuanced enough for me. I feel like there could eventually be great uses. But it’s currently being pushed as a cure all for ails we don’t actually have.
