I finally feel like I’m getting the hang of scoring my sandwich loaves (the only bread I make, really, because I’m lazy 😅). It’ll all be sliced for consumption in a few hours, and you won’t be able to see the pattern anymore, but it’s still nice to have something beautiful lying around for a bit 🥰

This is my favorite of all the hand/footprints at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Bill Powell and Myrna Loy, stars of the inimitable Thin Man films, all the way back from 1936. 90-year-old prints 👀

If you haven’t seen the Thin Man films, you should! If you’ve heard of “Nick and Nora”, that’s where they started!

I thought, maybe it’s because the fan is off (like how USB chargers emit that whine when nothing’s plugged in). So I turned the fan on. It was still clicking. I opened up the back because to my knowledge there are no moving parts in an IR remote…and the thing was fulllllll of corrosion. Still working, but all gross. So of course: time to clean it out and change the batteries. (Household vinegar works wonders on battery corrosion, if no one ever taught you that.) #Technology /2
