"You use #FountainPens ? What do you do with them, calligraphy?"
Sigh. The number of people who think fountain pens are only for calligraphy is to damn high. Why can't i just use something other than a ballpoint to write with?

🚨 RED ALERT! RED ALERT! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! NEW MISSING DOCTOR WHO EPISODES HAVE BEEN RECOVERED 🚨
I've rediscovered these enamel pins that I had bought a long while ago, and they still bring a smile to my face. #pride #FountainPen
@firefoxnightly this really should've been included with the ai slop from the beginning. At least Mozilla *finally* listened.
Quit trying to be chrome. Anybody who uses Firefox uses it because it's not big tech.
Now this made my day!!! I love that Fahrney's is a pokestop! #PokemonGo #FountainPen
The apparent need for everyone to have an opinion and be an expert on everything annoys me to no end.

@tyiart the "what the fuck is going on" is my favorite! It's just too perfect, especially with the loading circle.
War, war never changes
War only brings pain
War only brings sorrow
Even if you smote your enemy,
You mourn your brother
War, war never changes
It is never waged by the righteous
It is only waged by cowards
Hiding in the general's tent
While the youth are lost
War, war never changes
Even in service for a just cause
Even to protect the weak
As you clean what's left
You must mourn all that was lost

@macosken@mastodon.social I agree, but I think it's even lower down. People just don't write enough to bother thinking about what tool they use.
So I'm listening to @universetoday@m.universetoday.com 's interview with Dr. Chiara Mingarelli about gravitational waves and she relates the accuracy to a virus divided by the earth (10^-15). Dang! Human engineering and creativity are incredible.
Got 0.54 miles on the treadmill tonight. Not much but it's something. I also unintentionally picked a routine that increases the slope every minute

@Sollenbum@mastodon.online how's the precision? I've kinda had my eye on maybe getting one (though I've got a lot of pens that are higher priorities)

@TexasObserver@texasobserver.social congratulations. Use my donation for a round of celebratory drinks.

Huh. Despite the very 90s fashion in the video, it can date from no earlier than 2005 based on quoting NIST SP 800.53

The first clip probably dates to the 90s. The hair style is just *too* 90s and theres a very different A/V quality to it. The rest of the video seems to be mid to late 00s. It's 640x360 resolution and has terrible lighting.
Ya'll. One of my all time favorite podcasts has put out an episode on the science (or lack thereof) in Star Wars and it is so fun.
