I’m all about burning new neural pathways. Today that was by learning to dye eggs wrapped in silk. #art #eggs

Morning walks are kind of a zen thing for me. I focus on nature and walking instead of projects, clients, and deadlines. Plus I get to see wildlife hidden inside a city, like these two ducks doing important duck things. #nature #bird #duck

I like to learn at least one new thing every day. Today’s learning experience happened at a baseball game: The funnel cake stand smells great until the 8th inning. After that…not so much. #learn #baseball

macOS 26.5 stopped communicating with my USB devices. Here's how I fixed the problem. https://jeffgamet.com/how-i-fixed-macos-26-5-failing-to-talk-to-my-usb-devices/

There’s a new ant colony on the nearby nature trail. It’s a thick shimmering mass of ants! #ants #nature

I have new neighbors moving in next door, so I went over and introduced myself and welcomed them to the neighborhood. They were pleasantly surprised and told me this was the first time they've lived someplace where a neighbor said "hi." Go meet your neighbors, people. Be part of your community!

Elon Musk lost his lawsuit against Sam Altman and OpenAi because sometimes the rules (in this case, the statute of limitations) apply to the ultra wealthy, too. #ai #musk #altman #court https://jeffgamet.com/jury-says-nope-to-musk-lawsuit-against-openai/

Jason Snell put together a nice list of books on Apple's history.

My keys are still in my pocket. Does that mean I have to keep flushing? #signs

This sign is approximately 18-inches from the door. #sign #mystery

Here’s how the Bolder Boulder works: The Kenya runners blaze through and then you wait for the rest of race to come through. They’re that much faster than everyone else. #bolderboulder #run #race

Meta cutting 8,000 jobs to redirect money into its AI strategy says a lot about the value Mark Zuckerberg and his company puts in their employees. #ai #layoffs https://jeffgamet.com/zuckerberg-sacrifices-8000-employees-for-ai-dream/

@manton This. One hundred percent this. Apple really needs to read their own human interface guideline books.

The irony in using AI slop to engage bait people with the promise of showing them how to make their own AI slop sound more human is not lost on me. #social #ai #fail

We can live in hope.

But seriously, I don’t know how my phone number ended up in a Georgia Republican messaging database, yet here we are. Their marketing team needs a better lead vetting system. #spam #sms #nokings #marketing #fail

If your objective is to harm as many people as possible in your own country Trump finally found something he’s good at. The latest example? His crackpot health secretary, RFK, is pressuring the FDA to reverse a ban on peptides that pose a health risk. https://arstechnica.com/health/2026/03/rfk-jr-s-fda-expected-to-lift-restrictions-on-risky-unproven-peptides

I wasn't planning on writing a second blog post today, but how could I pass up talking about the Plex Pass $500 price hike? #subscription #streaming #ouch https://jeffgamet.com/plex-lifetime-pass-gets-a-500-price-hike/
