Also the nature of Matrix service seems basically resource-heavy (everything on server all the time), and I think that's why I haven't really seen libre/community/openhobby servers for it like I do for XMPP
There are some Matrix subscription servers that may plug and play for the pay, I think. But I'm not sure that increased cost would be worth any practical differences from a well matched xmpp client, for a small organization.

It sounds like I'm busy, but sometimes it's hard to explain that this is just a puzzle that rewards frequent naps and snacking when I'm too tired to do anything more useful.
I say more useful, migrating away from arcades, theatres, and plazas that were bought up by weapons contractors is useful. Especially if I mess up enough to take notes worth sharing.
(this worked fine for me with two clicks makes not an educational paragraph unless it's set for a rhetorical hook.)

Also, I enjoy the healthy negativity towards fascist authoritarians here, so I can't agree with all your points.
I've found people who wobble on human rights are just slower moving existential threats, and most people need to vent occasionaly.
Sometimes I limit my time to servers that strongly encourage CWing power struggles and active tragedies, aka politics and current events.

Jellyfin forced me into file renaming, but seems so prone to snag.

It might be a learning curve to find a fediverse like mastadon server to start an account on, or get comfortable on but... finding some really nice fit servers eventually..? Amazing.

Ok, it's slightly past time to migrate any of my fedi accounts that still report to a gmail address to something else.
Unfortuantely, my disroot account bounches sometimes, but freemium services like proton and tuta seem to work. my security super-accessible freemium (there teirs are at natural cutoffs, and priced like. actually reasonably and accessibly)
We're being challenged on security more often, but also I don't feel well shackled to freemium and their little popups.
I wonder how many people discovered GnuOS the last week or two, and who looked at the project a little differently.
A proper nik of the beat, I'd done the academic driveby in preinstall survey, and again when I started talking to other people about The Hobby, and sharing my notes and linklists.
