Narcissism can be such a blocker for learning. The first step of learning is often to accept your own ignorance, and then often having your ignorant ass handed to you time and time again. I doubt many narcissists can stand that process for long.

The world is self regulating in elegant ways sometimes - knowledge is power after all.

I am always surprised by the chinese wording on their claims on Taiwan. They say it’s their ”core of their core issues”.

The art of war has two relevant lessons: Deception as the foundation of war, and making others fight your battles. In other words, Taiwan being a core issue is a convenient story, while others are already fighting wars for China.

China will continue their posturing in Asia, while already actively fighting through their proxies Iran and Russia. Europe is at war with China.

They say it will be illegal in China to replace workers with AI.

MAYBE it’s less about workers rights and more about the fact they want capable people around and not just meat proxies.
