this morning I was trying to get a head start, so I skipped my usual slow morning hang in the comfy chair with sumi in my lap while I drink my coffee.
as I was getting ready, sumi is YOWLING in the hallway, like never before. I sit down in the comfy chair and she literally SPRINTS into my lap.
lesson learned: never change routine.
i did metalsmithing this weekend, new (unfortunately pricey) hobby unlocked

I feel like this feeling for me extends beyond autoformalisation too, like I feel like before this mess we could assume some good-faith, or at the very least some effort on the part of SOMEONE. now this is no longer true in all fields, sigh.

@liamoc even before the bots, we have lots of practice problems for our intro students, but unfortunately have to include the solutions/auto grader. when they get stuck, they immediately look at the solution, rather than trying to figure it out themselves. I don't really blame them, they haven't been taught to study properly, and its also on us to not give them such easy access to the solution imo...
