I've published some patterns for making your own tiny, provenance and governance controlled #ubi #universalbaseimages based containers for in-house #zerocve container images ; whilst retaining your full support and lifecycle guarantees from #redhat here : https://codeberg.org/aenertia/rhhi-comparison the tl;dr is for a lot of industry the dream of being able to consume and use #fedora #hummingbird / red-hat hardened images is just that. ubi-micro based pipelines give you pretty much all the upsides and few of the downsides of ingesting raw upstream bleeding edge, whilst still giving you the standard support case/2 am phone path. And for established enterprises is probably the right patern to counter all this LLM weaponization chatter.

I have now seen both Working Difference engines in person. But I got to actually use the other one. (And I'm not including Paul Allen's private one). #London #science

@littlerao@chaos.social @purplerabbit@goo.dgirl.gay - my main bug bear is that Signal for teens/pre-teens with simless devices (or heavily restricted ones) is a great combination that is impossible currently. So they all end up on Facebook Messenger or worse currently. Fixing this to give parents and kids a better/easier to access option would be wellcome

My opinion of David Tennant and Edward Norton has been irreparably tarnished due to the dross advertisement and endorsements they seem to appear in on Irish TV

Have pushed 0.9.5-dev branch to codeberg of foxing ( https://codeberg.org/aenertia/foxing/src/branch/0.9.5-dev ) in preparation for release tagging. A LOT of features and a couple of bug-fixes now the packet/file processing engine has stabilized ; including Semantic Routing to Parsers for Metadata Extraction and in-path Binary analysis using local ORT/BERT models ; letting you get semantic search powers for free when you copy something with foxingd/fxcp #linux #filesystem #bert #vectordb #postgres #xfs #stratis #blake3 #localllm

@ewenmcneill absolutely more tidy than any of my hacks and likely to go unoticed in a rack / audit test for sure. i've used relay/esp solution to also provide a basic watchdog timer for ... less ... robust hardware.

@jwildeboer Tbf whilst It's not great, its AT LEAST not remotely exploitable. Problematic if your workload runs untrusted stuff from external sources directly, absolutely. But likewise not quite as sky is falling as some have seemed to make it out to be.

RFC 9250: DNS over Dedicated QUIC Connections

This document describes the use of QUIC to provide transport confidentiality for DNS. The encryption provided by QUIC has similar properties to those provided by TLS, while QUIC transport eliminates the head-of-line blocking issues inherent with TCP and provides more efficient packet-loss recovery than UDP. DNS over QUIC (DoQ) has privacy properties similar to DNS over TLS (DoT) specified in RFC 7858, and latency characteristics similar to classic DNS over UDP. This specification describes the u

Am convinced there is one person who is responsible for sensor bus superIO chip connection and wiring design for all motherboard manufacturers. They all use this same person, have done since the 90's, and this person is insane.
