#OneCoolThing tried my own tea infusion and it's delicious, would recommend it: 2 tea bags ~ one a herbal tea with blend of fennel, ginger and dandelion, the other jasmin green tea ~ brew for 3 minutes, add a spoon of honey ~ try it, relax and enjoy ツ

@awfulwoman@indieweb.social thank you for sharing this!!! I agree entirely ~ an excellent watch, well worth everyone's attention!
PS: I've got a page I use for teaching (students+colleagues alike) ~ archiving various publications on AI as a record of the changing conversation - just had to add this!! thank you ツ

@StevenLawsonPhotography@mastoart.social ツ anytime ~ and happy to help if you just need somewhere to host it, if you prefer that for this time around ツ
looking forward to the Zine already ~ been great to see all the lovely posts ツ

@f800gecko@mastodon.online Oh I wish I had the brain for Linux! I would use that if I could. But I don't have the head for it :(
You will love Krita! It is an amazing, wonderful programme that lets you just create ~ it is just a dream.
If you ever get stuck with anything I'd highly recommend joining this forum: https://krita-artists.org/
A super helpful crowd who share their work as well as free resources. When I reported some oddities, they were straight on the case + it was reported and addressed immediately.

@f800gecko@mastodon.online Yes, I agree. It is a strange time to look at anything and not know how exactly what is created by a beautiful creative human mind or by a AI that merely mashes up lots of collected and stolen data.
And this is not a photograph, this is a piece of digital art and in this case I have not combined it with a photo which I sometimes do. This one has been created purely in Krita, (https://krita.org) which is a digital fine art application, and I'm using primarily watercolor brushes.

@f800gecko@mastodon.online ~ thank you for your kind comment ツ
And while you don't know me and have no way of knowing whether I speak the truth, I would still like to assure you that I only post work that was created by myself, using mixed media.
And I do know what you mean about AI having tainted the perception of creative work... However, our instance (.art) does have a rule prohibiting AI/generative pieces & I would hope that this is an indication of this instance being primarily about human created work.
@StevenLawsonPhotography@mastoart.social this seems to work fine ~ the prompt to login or signup can be by-passed easily ツ
I would say that if you have a server, that might be a more straight forward option. If you need someone to host it for you ~ I can do that for you if you need (ideally though it'll be for a limited time only to avoid prolonged server loads).
@brucelawson@social.vivaldi.net have fun tonight (◠‿◠)
I had planned to come along to @webstandards but my brain's fried from too many things... and I don't think I could take in anything that's covered tonight.
hope to see you soon again sometime <3 x
