@fuwafuwa@toot.wales @Mafalda@toot.wales CONT. PROPER BORED about it 😢 The thing is as long as there's an infection going leaving it out could compromise all and go back to square one. This thing "in its simplicity" turned out to be a really tough one to clear. We had in the past some sheep with an abscess in the foot, but usually 1 week of therapy was sufficient. Skippy is now over 1 month he's been cared/cleaned/got injections every 2 days, etc. It IS healing but it's SO SLOW I'd be bananas in a stable for 1 CONT.

There's no 'wake up on anything' or such .. it's all 'standard settings' .. I am running the Windows ram test now we'll see if it's going to tell me anything. It's fraking weird, then it can work fine for hours and "out of the blue" switches itself off. The only thing I haven't tried yet would be to completely change the GPU with an older one and see what happens CONT.

@sinbad@mastodon.gamedev.place @psychicparrot42@mastodon.gamedev.place @ric@mastodon.qweb.co.uk I drive normally TWO 40 inches 4K monitors, one is on Display Port the other on HDMI I noted at times when left idle for some time the monitor on HDMI sometime going into a 'cycle' of red/green/white/display needing 'a monitor reset' to re-gain the image but I always assumed 'that's HDMI shit' that doesn't correctly 'wake up' from IDLE. I wonder if it has something to do with the GPU.

"Yesterday I learnt" .... that if you save longwords in LITTLE ENDIAN format but then you read them as BIG endian "something doesn't work quite right" .. oh hum ..

@eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place C and C++ *CAN BE* WONDERFUL languages if used "in simple ways" which THEY CAN. They become 'a mess' when 'badly used' or 'attempting to be too clever with them'. They can be a bit like "nuclear energy" can be used for good with proper setting/limits can become ultra destructive in the wrong hands. C is "a bit immune" to that but C++ on the contrary gives you "infinite rope to hang yourself with" 😐 Still it CAN be VERY useful when used correctly.

We ( 4 weeks ago ) had to go through a mini-nightmare of red tape to GET MEDICINE FOR A SICK HORSE THAT NEEDED IT because "no I want the original paper", "no I want to speak with the vet", "no I need to receive this by mail first" .. and I'd bet it's precisely because of humans trying to get horse medications for their own use !! Yeah get and end up anaemic and/or with your liver or else destroyed .. they are NOT made for human biology !

Turns out you NEED to install the "GOV-ID" app and create your own "GOV ID CODE" if you want to access certain info. .. That took 1 email, 1 phone sms, 1 photo of a document uploaded and a 3D scan of the face .. so I am afraid "It looks like it's already in place !" 🙄 And if you don't have all this, you cannot access certain sites/info/send/obtain information ... 😐

@dbattistella@mstdn.ca If it can be of any 'consolation' is the same/even worse in Italy ( where I am from ) because they could not fully agree in ONE solution so some sites want SPID, some others CIE ID, some others dunno what and you need 'a special government certified email' if you want to send legally valid emails to the government ( i.e. "Posta Elettronica Certificata" ) which means you have to pay a sum per year to have it .. 😐 and they are still thinking to change ..

Could be scold, cold be foot rot, could be the nails need trimming, in any case is a situation that needs to be checked.

Suppose you have N > 1 people working on different parts of the same document(s). That is what SVN is useful for.

Well ok 'nasty stuff' I won't mention .. but it's worth mentioning that time I ATTEMPTED to make 'a hot sauce' and I BOILED an amount of hot chillies in some strong vinegar. Once we had the car MOT done 'in an unusual car shop' where a friend of ours was working, that was a bit in the middle of nowhere so we took a bit of a walk until we arrived to a very small village ( few houses ) can't remember the name. There we find a "really OLD STYLE grocery shop" was a bit like "Miss Marple movie like" all so nice and cozy and "looking old" there was also the old lady owner of the CONT.

I think when people think at "stinky animals" they think, and they probably never smelled it for real, at the billy goat - when in season - when not in season he smells very little. To me is not an offensive smell but I understand 'some may find it'. What REALLY makes me gag is wet dog smell, can't stand it !
