By following, you agree with filling your timeline with fox, cat and other noises.
diffie isn't responsible for any damage caused by your interactions with it.
My posts slowly degrade from somewhat sane tech-related stuff over time to rather shitposty stuff.
Feel free to bite or hug diffie and be cute in all possible ways. (Some critters say that diffie is cute, but remember that you're certainly cuter!) Be prepated for some
Flirting is also totally okay, ERP probably too – if it isn't I'll let you know. Note that diffie might be somewhat slutty. (But diffie won't initiate such interactions, with very rare exceptions.)

@zewm@mastodon.social @haiku@mastodon.xyz I tried to install it (thread) on my old laptop and now I want to use it for the most of my computing stuff.
I wanted to partially move from Linux to Free- or NetBSD, but after trying Haiku, I don't need/want to try anything else. It just fits all my needs.

Quoting
I decided to try some non-Linux OS to use for most of my computing tasks on my second/old laptop – the ideas were originally NetBSD and FreeBSD, but a friend of mine suggested Haiku. I studied the docs a bit, I was surprised by its good compatibility with SW from the Linux world and I decided to give it a try – with a dedication to try to write any software I miss there, including drivers, to learn more about the platform (Haiku on a x86_64 ThinkPad).
Outcome? I'm using it for about 3 days and I frickin' love it!
Modesetting, backlight control, audio, Wi-Fi and many others just work. Apps just work too! It's an amazing system.

Wait, the new Firefox does really show this extremely generic page for a 404 without body returned by the server? :blobfoxnotlikethis:

@pierrenick@hachyderm.io Exactly the same happened to me when looking for a bucket, somewhat in a hurry – but I wanted the one to go.

@foone@digipres.club I was once surprised by a CRT (some SyncMaster maybe…, IDK now) having basically all params available over DDC, with much better support than many current LCD. But I'm not sure whether there was degaussing…

@jackemled@furry.engineer Quite understandable, given that yesterday, I was listening audio from an ASCII text file containing the samples lines with 0–65535 decimal numbers in.

@TechTangents@dialup.space In the good ol' times, there were two handheld versions of Facebook (m.facebook.com with kinda WAP vibes and touch.facebook.com intended for smartphones), allowing just everything you need to interact with people, including Messenger. Literally all dumb UX decisions except ads didn't influence these. (Facebook also wrapped the latter one in a WebView and made an Android app.) :neobot_code_facebook:

@sleepybisexual@mk.absturztau.be I can also recommend putting there as much RAM as possible. DDR3 and older seems¹ to be quite cheap.
¹ I might have outdated information, but I guess nobody wants DDR2/DDR3 even with the AI stuff happening…

@catpunk@piperco.global I absolutely love album Frailty and I'm kinda mostly stuck at it.
Few tracks from Census Designated are cool, but kinda not of my taste.
Hmm, I should try listening to that tonight to try to change my opinion… :neofox_thinking:

@leeloo@c.im @TechTangents@dialup.space Kinda both, Google serves a different page (or maybe redirects, IDK now) depending on the UA string. DuckDuckGo does the same. And when the UA guesswork fails, you might end up with a page you can't use.
There is still reCAPTCHA which is IIRC unpleasant to use on dumb browsers. (Note that my experience is outdated by many years, as I don't use Google.)
IIRC there was even a SSL-less version of Google, but I guess it's dead.
