Salvador B. Spunky
you may know me from real life
Reading Don Quixote takes a very long time so I’ve been immersed in Cervantes’ vocabulary and rhythm as if it were its own language in a way. New words are making their way into my everyday thoughts… I tend to think in Spanglish and now I’m starting to use fun phrases like “es menester” and “mentecato” and “aquí tenéis delante…”

I love movies that did not make big commercial success but by chance had a big impact on people as children.
I remember a lot of stuff from “Flushed Away” because we had it on DVD and so we watched it over and over and over again before streaming was a thing.
[having a lightbulb moment] “Bingo!”
[word association] “Scrabble!”
“Enough games!”
No #radio airtime, but spiritually I’m back in #DJ mode.

Cervantes is very clever with his subtitles on the chapters of Don Quixote.
“Chapter 9: Where it is told what in it shall be seen”
Robert Plant and the bonnie Irish lassie who drowned herself in a stream in 1833 and now has been possessing his body for the past ten years seem to be doing well for themselves.
More kandi for my kar.
Renaming my mighty steed from Dilu (the blursed white legend) to Red Hare (the greatest among horses). It’s because there’s another vehicle in my life that is much more deserving of the cursed horse’s name (oh boy).
As you can see, I did not have the letters I wanted available…

Things aren’t perfect right now, but I just keep having to tell myself: ornamental trees are better than no trees; frozen vegetables are better than no vegetables.
I just learned something very fun about #mandarin
馬 means horse, spoken “mǎ.”
口 means mouth.
嗎 makes a phrase into a question, but more importantly it’s spoken “ma.” So, when you look at the character, it seems to spell out “mouth-horse”… or to be more precise, “say this like how you say horse”! 👄🐎
