It's Saturday and that can only mean one thing.....#WhatImPlaying
I started #LunaAbyss this morning (yes, I've been awake since 4am). Through the first ninety minutes or so I can see they've cracked the feeling of DOOM x Returnal, although it's much more linear than the latter (which is a good thing for me).
The games also got a real nice visual style. It sort of reminds me of that puzzle game from a few years ago where the entire E3 reveal was basically phallic imagery and weeping cocks...but without any of the phallic imagery or weeping cocks....and ab added layer of #Signalis on top; it's super cool.
I also wrapped up my play through of #007FirstLight at the end of last weekend. Whilst I don't think it maintains it's exceptional start, it's still a really good game and something I'll be keeping an eye on going forward.
I also called time on #ForzaHorizon6. It's another one of those games. It could use a rethink imo, but that's more down to it being a little.....samey than anything else; the core game is still fantastic and it'll keep fans busy for a good long while, I just think the formula is wearing a little thin now.

We had a brief moment where we thought Microo might be back in the game...but I guess not. This is just sad. And another example of why we shouldn't be embracing the hoovering up if independent studios by singular companies. This was always on the cards.

What's the better choice.
Donate my niche interest books (US Presidents, Videogames, Politics) to the local Library which is full of like... nothing but Crime fiction.
Or take them to a local charity shop and see if they can't get some resale out of them?
There's some genuinely beautiful and interesting books in this collection, and as much as I hate to part with them, the idea that they aren't used kills me.

Right. Time for my first #LotR re-read. I originally read the book some 18 years ago, and well...I've been meaning to go back to it. No time like the present I guess.
Not sure if I'm going to go Fellowship through King or if I'll split the book up into three smaller parts and allow for a break between.

I had one for about a year before I got my car license. When it was wet it was miserable, but the rest of the time? Absolutely loved it.
There's a certain freedom that comes with it that a car doesn't quite hit. Maybe when I'm older I'll get one for little run around a on the weekend.
In other news...
Walking through the side streets in London in #007FirstLight and couldn't help but notice these monstrously sized bins.
I feel for my bin-loading comrades if that's truly an accurate depiction of what they have to do on a daily basis because damn, these bins are definitely too big to load solo.

So, I became a bin-man the other day. Enjoying it so far *but*.....how the fuck are you running without blowing your knee out?
I've had no issues with my knee before, but obviously now I'm doing a much more...intense sort of walking/jogging I've noticed it's very sore.
Is this going to be a thing for me for a few weeks or is my knee permanently gonna be causing pain whilst I do this job?
