Was talking to a colleague that set up a 10 employees SaaS - in which he is the ony human, this trend won't last past 2027. Costs will skyrocket in line with unprofitability and most people will either go back doing the things themselves or having free outdated open-whatever irrelevant models. It's gonna shift society one way or the other. it's like stopping the wind with one's hands. An hurricane at that.

This came from the materialist debating the spiritualist, so to speak, as an aside on a debate about consciousness. It really stuck with me.

Without 2000 years of moral works of poets, priests and thinkers "e grazie al cazzo" you don't need religion... they did the multigenerational work by which the morals you have are what you have without needing to be religious. Imagine going to Dante Alighieri and telling him he doesn't need religion to write humanity's most important book of morality.
