@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt There is a cool art museum / performance art type thing in Tokyo called TeamLab Planets that has one display that totally fucks with your eyes kinda like this. You can't figure out if your eyes are focusing correctly or not. It was super cool.

@astrovore David, as a fellow developer, I'm curious about your stance on LLMs in regard to using LLM based dev tools. I *do* effectively use them as an autocomplete like feature, where I use it to build out the scaffold for something I need to write, but at no point does it get anywhere near a final product. I find it saves me a lot of time, but not brainpower. I'm of course not required to use those tools, but our whole team has adopted that basic approach of it being just another tool, used wisely. I'd love to hear your thoughts as well.

I know that US military personnel cannot just refuse orders they disagree with, if they're technically legal. Which regrettably they are, right now. Instead, I wonder if they might engage in a bit of malicious compliance.
@jcrabapple@dmv.community Did you read the book? I've read it a few times, and I enjoyed it somewhat, at least enough to read it more than once. Is it faithful to the source, and does it add anything that my own imagination cannot conjure up?

I just wish cancelling my subscription *mostly because my circumstances have changed* weren't so hard. All the money I save not subscribing to D+, P+, all the pluses, I've reinvested into actual journalism.
