I've just washed my e-bike and given it a good looking over for wear or damage. Everything seems fine but, as I've never had an e-bike before, I thought I should check the user handbook to see if they recommend any specific checks or maintenance.
I now know that I have RIM WEAR INDICATORS!

I've just checked my cheapy Decathlon folder and that has them too. My Raleigh Amazon doesn't, so this technology must've come in some time in the last 40 years. You look away for 10 minutes and BAM! everything has changed.
I'd actually thought that the Decathlon bike just had really soft rims. 😄

I used the last of last year's apple harvest (stewed and frozen) and the almost last tub of last year's blackberries. I added some oats to the crumble, for a change, and I really enjoyed it. 🙂
Such a simple pudding. I do like simple traditional puddings.

I've received a text message calling me "Mum" and saying that the offspring has broken their phone so has borrowed one and can't put their SIM in it because it's locked to another network.
I've heard of these #Smishing messages but this is the first I've had and it's so tempting to string them along for a bit. 😈
However, discretion is the better part of valour so I shall ignore it after forwarding it to my provider's spam reporting number. 😇

It is flying from a proper flag pole on the allotments.
I couldn't get a decent photo but it is a red and yellow striped rectangular flag with an eagle (I think). The eagle has one head and a crown. It is holding an orb and cross in one foot and some kind of sceptre (?) in the other.

@Richard_Littler@mastodon.social I do NOT want my parcels to be dropped into my garden. My pond fish and greenhouse really wouldn't appreciate that.
Also, if a drone chose to travel over my back garden on its way to a drop-off, I would regard it as a trespasser. I have no idea what the law is, but my defence case will rest upon my confusion and fear leading to me accidentally whacking it with a hoe 15 times.

I've been reading the 1 star reviews as they're the informative ones. There's much too much choice, though, and prices range from under £60 to £500! 🤯

I think I'll try the method in the YouTube video with 2 holes in the plastic bottle's lid.
Last year I did have some success with a large (instant coffee) jar with a string wick which slowly dripped water into one of my greenhouse trays.
Mum has just installed a solar powered drip waterer. It's early days, but it seems to work.
I did enjoy 2 things you said. You need this TODAY, and you have plenty of wine bottles. 😁
There's a Pigeon standing in my garden.
It doesn't look injured. It occasionally walks a few steps. I've given it a bowl of water but I don't think it understood what I was doing and it walked a few steps in the other direction.
Very strange behaviour for a Pigeon.

@philheppenstall@mastodonapp.uk Looking at https://www.food.gov.uk/safety-hygiene/food-hygiene-rating-scheme they can be closed down if there's an "imminent risk to public health".
I guess "Requires urgent improvement" is sailing close to the wind but may not actually make somebody ill (if they're lucky).

It had gone later and there wasn't any sign of a sparrowhawk or cat having taken it, so I think she just fancied a sit down.
