I wish that the #fairphone mechanical switch could be programmed. Imagine setting it up so that the switch will trigger a Ripple form the Ripple app. This could be very useful for activists, NGO's and Aid workers (esp., in authoritarian environments). Or, alternatively, where the switch just shuts down the phone immediately.

@kirschner $375 million seems light for a multi billion dollar company. The fine should be more like 30% or more of global revenue.
IMHO the #digitalsovereignty movement in the EU should always default to FLOSS/FOSS first before proprietary and commercial solutions. I keep seeing people promoting commercial companies when there are FOSS alternatives. Just because a company is European doesn't make it the better solution.
I'll take it a little further and say that capitalism is incompatible with digital sovereignty. /rant
