@baldur@toot.cafe Agree! Ironically, one of the biggest stories of our time is the corruption and failure of journalism in every meaningful area. That’s why we need to cultivate the transmission of facts that prioritizes shared human knowledge and fulfillment, and stop spreading the content of disinformative technologies and dehumanizing profits.

@patc@pdx.social I was recently required to download the desktop version of Adobe to complete a project, and saw all this AI noise and wondered if it was always this way, while also low key resenting the people who required me to use this software. And it’s also takes up like 2 Gig of space, and for what? Just to read PDFs a certain way?! It just sucks all around.

@robertpi@functional.cafe Sorry, but after 90 days, you will be judged and sentenced to a lifetime of 2026, and your bank account will continue to be charged, because banks don't care. It's not their money.

@jon@social.vivaldi.net @Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net Vivaldi is great even without having taken this stance, but I so appreciate that they are taking time and effort to “keep browsing human.” Thanks Vivaldi! Keep being awesome.

@bytebro@mastodonapp.uk @patc@pdx.social Appreciate the suggestion, but they say I *must* use Adobe, because something-something page formatting issues. I usually use a free and reliable (and small size) PDF reader, and not the Adobe one which I will delete the instant this project is over!
